Competition Rules and Entry Procedures

Plans have recently been announced for the opening of a branch of the notoriously sexist Playboy Club in west London and applications are bring sought for the role of "Bunny Girl" - waitresses chosen for their physical appearance (and of course "personality") and expected to work in revealing outfits with demeaning rabbit ears and tails. The Bunny Spoiler campaign aims to flood the club with spoof applications in the hope this will slow down the process and let the company and its employees know how the wider public feel about it's brand and it's plans to open in London.

So here's how to enter:

Apply for a job as a "bunny girl". Make your application as funny and silly as possible! The website for applications is http://www.lciclubs.com/careers/apply/playboy-club-london/

The only rule is that while it's absolutely encouraged to use a false name on your application (maybe a celebrity name or a fictional/historical character), please don't give anyone else's actual contact details (in case they actually get contacted). You can either use your own (and if they contact you feel free to let them know what you think about their club and brand!) or use our email (bunnyspoiler@gmail.com) and this number: 020 7240 5534 (which is actually the number for Stringfellows - let's waste a bit of their time too while we're at it!!).

Then you can send us a copy of your application either using a screen shot (a computer function which allows you to take a Photo" of your screen: Prnt Scrn button on a PC or shift + apple key + 3 on a MAC) or sending us the CV and photo you attached or if you prefer just by hand copying your application. Either way send it to us at bunnyspoiler@gmail.com. You can enter as many times as you like. There may even be a bonus prize for the most applications!

The judging panel is Mary-Louise Clews (founder of Bunny Spoiler), Guardian columnist Julie Bindel, comedienne Kate Smurthwaite and Anna van Heesvijk from OBJECT.

And the prizes are: Four tickets to an upcoming feminist comedy or cabaret show (obviously depending where in the country you live we'll find your nearest event, or you can come to London if you prefer) with VIP treatment - free bottle of wine and chance to meet and hang out with the stars of the show, plus stacks of top feminist goodies: T-Shirts, books, badges, etc AND free entry to the Feminism in London conference 2011!
